Our Story

Rooted in Community. Grounded in Power.

Sistahs Out Loud™ Health Education Alliance exists because Black women deserve to know the truth about their health — and to learn it surrounded by sisters who love them.

Our Mission

Health Education That Heals

We believe that knowledge is the first step toward healing. Too many of our sisters are suffering from conditions that could be prevented, managed, or reversed — if only they had the right information.

Sistahs Out Loud™ was created to close that gap. Through weekly facilitated lessons, we bring health education directly to Black women in a space that is safe, affirming, and rooted in community.

We are not a medical practice. We are a movement — a circle of sisters committed to understanding what's eating us up inside and choosing a different path, together.

Our Pledge

We stand together, heart to heart and hand in hand, united in our commitment to transform a healthcare system that has failed too many of us for far too long. We pledge to fight for comprehensive solutions that honor our humanity, demanding cultural sensitivity training for medical professionals, implementing policies that eradicate racial and weight-based discrimination, and dismantling every barrier that stands between our communities and dignified, equitable care.

As we work toward these systemic changes, we pledge our unwavering dedication to each other and to a strategy born from lived experience, profound expertise, and an unshakeable belief in our collective power to heal what has been broken. We are Sistahs Out Loud™, women of every background, every story, every struggle, coming together because we refuse to accept that some lives matter less than others.

Our voices rise as one because these are not just healthcare disparities we're facing; these are life-and-death inequities that demand action rooted in love, justice, and an uncompromising commitment to the truth that every woman deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and kept alive. This is our pledge: to stand for each other, to speak for those silenced, and to create the lasting change that will echo through generations. Together, we are unstoppable.

A Word of Welcome

"To each of you who has chosen to show up for this sacred work, I see you, I honor you, and I am grateful you are here." By linking arms with us, you are choosing love over indifference, courage over convenience, and solidarity over silence.

When you say 'yes' to this movement, you affirm that every Black mother's grief demands our attention, every Latina grandmother's suffering is worthy of our action, every Indigenous woman's truth must be amplified, and every Asian woman's experience will no longer be overlooked. You are declaring that healthcare is not a privilege to be earned but a fundamental human right to be protected.

Thank you for understanding that our collective healing is more powerful than our individual pain. Thank you for demonstrating that true sisterhood transcends shared struggle; it is built on our shared commitment to justice, our refusal to look away, and our determination to ensure that no woman is left behind.

Welcome to Sistahs Out Loud™. Your presence here matters. Your voice here matters. You matter.
